When Faith Feels Out of Place at Work

Uncategorized May 19, 2025

You ever have that moment where you feel the nudge to speak up—but you don’t?

Not because you're ashamed of your faith, but because you’re standing behind a chair, halfway through a balayage, and you don’t want to make it awkward. You want to keep the peace. Keep the client. Keep the vibe light. So you smile, nod, and change the subject.

And then you go home wondering if you just missed an opportunity to be who you say you are.

I’ve been there more times than I care to count.

For a long time, I believed the lie that faith was personal—that it didn’t belong in the workplace. Especially not in the beauty industry. I thought I had to water down the truth to make room for tips, schedules, and return clients.

But here’s the thing…

If God called you into this career, then your faith does belong in it.

Not as a sermon. Not as a script. But as a steady, bold presence. As discernment. As wisdom. As love.

The beauty industry is full of noise, hustle, and half-truths. But it’s also full of souls—and we get to stand inches away from them every single day.

This chair we stand behind? It’s sacred ground.

That’s why I created the S.E.A. CHANGE Mentorship Program—because I know I’m not the only one who’s felt this tension. I know I’m not the only one who wants to lead with integrity, honor God, and still crush it in business.

It’s for the ones who feel the Spirit stirring but don’t know how to start.
It’s for the pros who’ve been silent too long.
It’s for the ones who are done compartmentalizing.

Inside S.E.A. CHANGE, we meet weekly. We get honest. We dig into Scripture. We strategize. We challenge each other. And we grow—not just as professionals, but as Kingdom people.

If you’ve felt out of place in your own calling... maybe you’re not out of place.
Maybe you're just not around the right people yet.

You’re not too bold.
You’re not too quiet.
You’re not too “Christian” for this industry.

You’re just early to the revival that’s coming.

Let’s walk it out—together.
